God began to work in the life of Larry Lindow at an early age. He trusted Christ as Savior during Vacation Bible School as a seven year old. As an eight year old camper at Camp Manitoumi, he committed his life to Christ to do whatever He was called to do. He had the opportunity to attend a Baptist high school in Alton, IL. Following graduation God lead him to Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN. He graduated in 1988 with a double major, a B.S. in biological sciences and Bible. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Biblical Counseling through Trinity Seminary in Newburgh, IN.
Following graduation from college, God allowed Larry to get experience in various ministries. He and his wife Lisa served as relief house parents at Baptist Children’s Home in Valparaiso, IN. He had the opportunity to teach science and math to junior high and high school students, as well as coach both boys and girls basketball, for seven years. After 15 summers of ministry Larry was lead to full time ministry at Camp Manitoumi, serving as the Assistant Director. He was in charge of planning the program and assisted in promoting the camp in local churches. During the summer he lead the staff in daily devotions. These opportunities of ministering God’s Word, as well as opportunities to do pulpit supply, gave him a growing desire to minister God’s Word on a full time basis. In the fall of 2000, God lead Larry and his family to Germantown Hills Baptist Church where he was the Assistant Pastor until July of 2005.
Since July of 2005 Larry has been ministering here with us at First Baptist Church as the Pastor. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for over 20 years and they a raising five beautiful children, three girls and two boys.
Bob Simon is the Associate Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Littleton, Illinois. Bob was born in Joliet, Illinois and was privileged to be raised in a Christian home. Through the combination of this hard time, youth group, and camp the Lord showed Bob that He was calling Him into pastoral ministry. After graduating High School in 2003, Bob attended the one year Bible program at Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, New York, where His love for God’s Word and church grew exponentially. In the fall of 2004 Bob transferred to Faith Baptist Bible College where he met his wife Betsy. Bob and Betsy were married in May of 2007, and graduated from Faith in 2008. They have two daughters, Lucy (10/2009) and Layla (06/2011). In 2010 Bob was called to FBC, and works primarily with the teens.
