The Gospel Transformation (A study on Romans) --- “The Gospel Transformation” is an ongoing series working our way through the Epistle to the Romans.  Throughout this series we will learn of: our condition before salvation; God’s love, grace, and mercy in providing Salvation to those who believe; and the change that comes to the life that is truly saved!  Please come and allow God to transform you!

Sunday Evenings

Family Hour --- Study and discussion focused on practical application of the morning sermon.  This is also our primary time for corporate prayer during the week.  For those desiring to have true Biblical Fellowship, this is your chance to get to know others and fulfill many of those one another commands of Scripture!

Our Declaration to the World

BIBLE TEACHING

The central area of our ministry is based upon clear, practical teaching of the Bible. It is important for believers to come to an understanding of the Bible as a whole. II Tim. 3:16 says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable..."

FAMILY

At First Baptist we desire to minister to the entire family realizing that for a family to thrive it needs spiritual direction from the head of the home down. But beyond the individual family we recognize the need for individuals to be part of a church family where they can find love, encouragement, direction, counsel, and accountability.

WORSHIP

Not only do we highly value corporate worship together as a body, but we realize that each day is to be lived out as worship to our LORD. I Cor. 10:31 says, "Whether therefore we eat or drink do all to the glory of God!"

SERVICE

At First Baptist Church we recognize that God has given every believer gifts and abilities that are to be used within the body to build the body to God's glory that we may all come to maturity. Our desire is to help individuals find areas where they can consistently use these gifts and abilities.

MISSIONS/EVANGELISM

We have the Gospel: Christ Died, was Buried, and Rose Again. It is our duty as believers to share with others the fact that Jesus' death was to pay the penalty of their sin. His resurrection gives us hope in the resurrection of all who place their faith and trust in Him. Therefore, we try to make it a priority to support individuals and organizations that help in the spreading of the Gospel of Christ as well as work as a local body to do the same.

DISCIPLESHIP

God has given each believer gifts to be used in the building of the body of Christ. (I Cor. 12; Rom. 12) Therefore, we believe it is important to help every believer come to a better understanding of the fundamentals of the faith and to better understand God's Word so that they can live a life that is honoring and glorifying to Him. This is accomplished through one-to-one studies as well as small group studies and during our regular, weekly teaching/preaching.

FELLOWSHIP

We find it is important to be together with fellow believers. Not simply to discuss the weather and sports, but to speak openly and honestly with one another about what God is doing in our lives and the areas in which he is challenging us as believers. This time allows for us to encourage, rebuke, sorrow, and rejoice with one another as we strive by God's grace to become more Christ-like.
